Schedule:

  • Night shifts (6:30pm–7:00am)
  • One full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) per scheduling period

Key Qualifications:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) with current RCP licensure
  • Minimum 6 months of critical care experience (0–2 years overall clinical experience required)
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (or equivalents)
  • Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
  • Computer proficiency and ability to foster positive team relationships
  • Experience in critical care, emergency department, and pediatrics highly preferred

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality respiratory therapy in critical and complex patient care situations
  • Perform patient assessments, therapy planning, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams
  • Manage ventilator protocols and advanced airway procedures (intubation, extubation, trach care)
  • Administer aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, and conduct arterial blood gas analysis
  • Educate and support patients, families, and new colleagues; participate in professional development and staff training
  • Ensure meticulous documentation, patient safety, and adherence to quality standards
