As a Respiratory Therapist II, you will deliver expert patient care primarily in critical care environments, managing complex patient needs and working extensively with ventilator protocols. You'll collaborate with a dedicated healthcare team, expanding your skills through exposure to a diverse patient population and advanced respiratory interventions. Your responsibilities will include patient assessment, medication administration, ventilator and airway management, and educating patients and their support systems. Additionally, you’ll play an active role in staff development, supporting educational initiatives for new employees, and participating in quality improvement activities.

Night Shift:

  • 6:30 pm – 7:00 am

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred)
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) and Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) licensure required
  • Current certifications in BLS and ACLS (PALS/NRP preferred or obtainable within 180 days)
  • 6 months’ recent critical care experience essential (0-2 years’ total clinical experience)
  • Experience in Emergency Department and Pediatrics highly desired
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, customer service, and computer/database skills

Core Responsibilities:

  • Administer protocol-driven respiratory therapies and medication
  • Perform ventilator management and airway interventions
  • Deliver high-level patient, family, and staff education
  • Oversee documentation and promote patient safety
  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary team planning and performance improvement
