As a Registered Respiratory Therapist for pediatric patients, you'll find opportunities to expand your expertise by caring for a variety of cases and integrating innovative therapies in a dynamic healthcare environment. Schedule/Hours:

  • Travel assignment with variable shifts (details provided upon application)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive respiratory care, particularly for pediatric populations
  • Proficient administration of Medicated Aerosol Therapy (nebulizers, MDI, DPI, holding chambers)
  • Master airway clearance techniques: clapping, vibration, directed cough, PEP/oscillatory PEP, High Frequency Chest Wall Oscillation, and more
  • Manage advanced ventilation support, including mechanical ventilation, CPAP/BiPAP, NIMV, High Frequency Nasal Cannula, and Negative Pressure Ventilation
  • Airway management techniques: suctioning, tracheostomy care, intubation assistance, manual ventilation
  • Blood gas sampling, analysis, and interpretation
  • Deliver specialized therapies: surfactant administration, nitric oxide, Heliox, sub-ambient oxygen
  • Implement care protocols for asthma, CF, RDS, BPD, Acute Chest Syndrome, and more
  • Support safe patient transport including MRI/internal transport and Neonatal Rapid Response Team participation
  • Maintain clinical documentation and adhere to safety/cleaning standards

Qualifications:

  • Current valid Respiratory Therapy license
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
  • Pediatric experience preferred
  • Proficiency with advanced respiratory care equipment and therapies
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
