Qualifications:
- Must hold current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials
- Valid and unrestricted state license required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy
- BLS and ACLS certifications preferred or required per facility
- Demonstrated clinical competence in adult and pediatric respiratory care
- Previous experience in acute or critical care settings is highly desirable
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and administer respiratory therapy treatments to patients with cardiopulmonary disorders
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff for comprehensive care planning
- Operate and troubleshoot ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, and monitoring equipment
- Perform diagnostic procedures including ABGs and pulmonary function testing
- Educate patients and families regarding respiratory treatments and self-care
- Accurately document patient assessment, interventions, and responses
