Seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide specialized respiratory care for neonatal and pediatric patients within a Level 4 NICU and assist in the management of cardiac transplant patients. This contract opportunity offers the chance to engage with complex cases and support critically ill children alongside a collaborative team of healthcare professionals.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
  • Current state license as required for practice
  • Demonstrated experience working in a Level 4 NICU environment
  • Familiarity with ventilator management and advanced respiratory modalities for neonatal and pediatric populations
  • Experience supporting the care of cardiac transplant patients, including post-operative ventilatory management, is highly valued
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients, including those with high acuity and complex diagnoses
  • Operate and troubleshoot various types of ventilators and respiratory equipment specific to NICU and transplant settings
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Participate in emergency response and rapid interventions as needed
  • Document all assessments, therapies, interventions, and patient responses clearly and accurately
  • Educate families and patients, providing guidance on therapies and equipment use
