As a Registered Respiratory Therapist specializing in advanced cardiopulmonary care, you’ll play a pivotal role in a dynamic healthcare environment. Key Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
  • Active state licensure (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
  • Advanced clinical knowledge in respiratory diagnostics, protocol development, and cardiopulmonary assessment
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills
  • Competency to work independently and mentor CRT staff
  • Ability to float to various departments as needed

Responsibilities:

  • Perform, interpret, and evaluate advanced respiratory testing and therapies
  • Collect arterial blood gases and calibrate associated equipment
  • Implement and monitor individualized treatment protocols
  • Administer respiratory medications, assess outcomes, and document results accurately
  • Guide patients and families in respiratory health and self-care
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Proactively participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives
  • Mentor colleagues and contribute to departmental meetings and projects
