Key Qualifications:
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Valid state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Prior experience working in an inpatient or acute care environment preferred
- Strong assessment, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and prioritize effectively
Responsibilities:
- Deliver all aspects of respiratory care including oxygen therapy, ventilator management, airway management, and aerosol therapies
- Accurately assess, plan, and document interventions for patients of all ages in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team
- Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gases and pulmonary function testing
- Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and home care procedures
- Support and respond to rapid response and code blue team activations
- Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, safe environment for all procedures
- Replace the role previously held by Kimberly McKinley, ensuring continuity of care
