Key Qualifications:

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Valid state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Prior experience working in an inpatient or acute care environment preferred
• Strong assessment, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and prioritize effectively

Responsibilities:

• Deliver all aspects of respiratory care including oxygen therapy, ventilator management, airway management, and aerosol therapies
• Accurately assess, plan, and document interventions for patients of all ages in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team
• Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gases and pulmonary function testing
• Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and home care procedures
• Support and respond to rapid response and code blue team activations
• Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, safe environment for all procedures
• Replace the role previously held by Kimberly McKinley, ensuring continuity of care
