Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) | Havana, Florida

This contract position requires an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to contribute expertise and compassion across all inpatient units, including two dedicated 10-bed ICUs, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Schedule:

• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Rotating weekends

Qualifications:

• Current credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications (all required)
• Critical care and emergency care experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency with ventilator management, bipap management, and aerosol treatments
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system is a plus
• Ability to rotate through all inpatient units and adapt to multiple patient populations

Responsibilities:

• Deliver top-tier respiratory therapy, including intubation, arterial line insertion, and assisting with bedside bronchoscopies
• Manage mechanical ventilation and non-invasive modalities using cutting-edge technology (Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators, Vapotherm, Phillips V60+, Seimens EPOC ABG analyzers, and more)
• Participate in daily rounds with the interdisciplinary team, contributing to cohesive, patient-centered care
• Provide clear and empathetic patient and family communication, applying the AIDET framework to ensure positive patient experiences
• Maintain compliance with dress code (required uniform: scrubs) and department/unit policies
