This contract position calls for an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist with strong acute care expertise and the ability to work confidently in both NICU and PICU specialty areas. The ideal candidate will be adept at utilizing state-of-the-art respiratory technology and collaborating seamlessly within a multidisciplinary care team.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract basis; specific schedule varies by shift needs in a 24/7 department

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital RRT experience
  • BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications (required)
  • Hands-on experience in NICU/PICU settings with advanced respiratory procedures
  • Previous Meditech documentation system experience is strongly preferred
  • Adaptable, fast-paced, critical thinker with a strong patient care focus

Preferred Attributes:

  • Team-oriented and collaborative in nature
  • Comfortable serving both pediatric and adult populations
  • Knowledge of high flow devices, 3100A, Bunnell, Servos, continuous nebulizers, nitric oxide, and heliox administration

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients with complex respiratory needs
  • Perform advanced respiratory assessments, treatments, and therapies using specialized equipment
  • Accurately document all interventions and progress in the Meditech system
  • Participate in a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care
  • May float to adult units for routine respiratory therapies as needed

  • Uniform required: Light Gray (Silver)
  • Work in a prestigious, award-winning tertiary care, teaching, and trauma center with Level 3 NICU and Comprehensive Stroke Center designation
