Deliver excellent care to patients with respiratory conditions in a dynamic healthcare environment supporting a Level 4 NICU and Cardiac Transplant patients. This contract role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact within a high-acuity setting, collaborating with a team dedicated to the highest standards of pediatric respiratory care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory support and intervention for neonatal and pediatric patients, including those in the Level 4 NICU and post-cardiac transplant.
- Perform advanced respiratory therapy procedures such as ventilator management, airway care, and oxygen therapy.
- Monitor patient status and adjust respiratory care plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.
- Respond promptly and effectively to critical situations or changes in patient condition.
- Educate patients and family members on respiratory care processes as appropriate.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
- State license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (active and in good standing).
- Experience working in neonatal and/or pediatric intensive care, especially within a Level 4 NICU.
- Familiarity with the care of pediatric cardiac transplant patients preferred.
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities.
