This contract opportunity allows you to work alongside a multidisciplinary group of professionals in a fast-paced environment, equipped with high-tech devices and comprehensive protocols.
Schedule/Hours:
- Contract position; details to be discussed during interview.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
- Current certifications in BLS, NRP, and PALS are mandatory.
- At least 2 years of recent experience in an acute care hospital as an RRT.
- Proven proficiency in Meditech documentation is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise with advanced respiratory equipment: High Flow Devices, 3100A, Bunnell, Servos, Nitric Oxide, Heliox, and continuous nebulizers.
- Direct experience in NICU/PICU settings.
- Strong critical thinking skills, adaptability, and ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality respiratory assessment, treatment, and evaluation to NICU and PICU patients.
- Operate and manage advanced respiratory technology and medication delivery systems.
- Collaboratively engage with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Accurately document care and interventions using Meditech.
- Float as needed to adult floors for therapy such as nebulizer treatments, BIPAP, and CPT.
- Maintain a team-oriented, patient-centered approach in a high-acuity environment.
Additional Details:
- Silver/Light Gray uniform required.
- Work in a leading tertiary care and teaching hospital recognized as a Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma center, Level 3 NICU, and Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center.
