Embark on a rewarding career as a Registered Respiratory Therapist working within a collaborative NICU/PICU respiratory unit. This contract opportunity offers exposure to a tertiary care and teaching facility, recognized as a Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma center, Level 3 NICU, and Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract assignment (specific schedule details provided during interview process)

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
  • Completed certifications in BLS, NRP, and PALS
  • At least two years of recent acute care hospital RRT experience
  • Previous hands-on experience caring for NICU/PICU patients
  • Strong preference for familiarity with Meditech documentation system
  • Demonstrated proficiency with respiratory technologies including High Flow Devices, 3100A, Bunnell, Servos, continuous nebulizers, Nitric Oxide, Heliox, and regular nebulizers
  • Adaptable, collaborative approach and effective multitasking in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality respiratory care and treatment for neonatal and pediatric patients, leveraging advanced technologies and medication administration
  • Accurately document assessments and interventions using Meditech
  • Perform procedures such as BIPAP, CPT, and nebulizer therapy, with potential to float and support adult units as needed
  • Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team—reporting to the Director, Supervisor, and charge therapist each shift
  • Prioritize patient safety and contribute to the positive, team-oriented culture of the respiratory department
