This contract position offers the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team at a renowned tertiary care and teaching facility. The unit maintains comprehensive respiratory services, ranging from basic therapies to advanced interventions, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and technology.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract role (duration specified during interview process)

Qualifications:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with active credentials
  • Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital experience as an RRT
  • Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Proficient with Meditech documentation system (preferred by leadership)
  • Demonstrated NICU/PICU clinical experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment
  • Excellent teamwork, adaptability, and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced respiratory therapy, care, and evaluation for neonatal and pediatric patients with a range of respiratory conditions
  • Operate and troubleshoot specialized equipment such as high flow devices, 3100A/Bunnell ventilators, Servos, continuous nebulizers, and nitric oxide administration systems
  • Accurately document all patient care and procedures in Meditech
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and fellow respiratory therapists in a Level 1 trauma center and Level 3 NICU
  • Float as needed to support adult floors with respiratory therapies (e.g., nebulizer therapy, BIPAP, CPT)
  • Maintain department standards and comply with hospital policies and procedures
  • Follow the required dress code: light gray (silver) uniform
