An exciting contract opportunity is available for a Registered Respiratory Therapist skilled in acute care settings, with a focus on NICU and PICU. This role involves delivering superior respiratory therapy services within a highly respected healthcare environment known for its advanced care and collaborative culture.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract position; shifts and scheduling details provided during the interview process

Qualifications & Required Experience:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Active BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital RRT experience
  • Demonstrated experience in NICU/PICU settings
  • Proficiency with Meditech documentation (candidates without Meditech experience will not be considered)
  • Advanced skills with high flow devices, oscillators (3100A, Bunnell), Servos, continuous nebulizers, Nitric Oxide, Heliox, and routine nebulizer therapy
  • Strong teamwork, adaptability, critical thinking, and patient-centered care approach

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior Meditech documentation system background
  • Experience in a multidisciplinary hospital environment
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver respiratory assessments, treatment, and therapies to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients using advanced modalities and technology
  • Perform care and evaluation for patients with respiratory diseases, including medication delivery and ventilatory support
  • Float to adult floors as needed for therapies such as nebulizer treatments, BIPAP, and CPT
  • Participate in a team-based approach, working closely with medical providers, nursing staff, and other therapists

Additional Information:

  • Required uniform: Light gray (silver) scrubs
  • Nationally recognized setting: Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma center, Level 3 NICU, and Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center
