This travel Registered Respiratory Therapist position offers the opportunity to work in a large, academic medical center recognized for its Level 1 Trauma Designation and commitment to advanced patient care. Gain exposure to a variety of clinical settings and patient populations—ranging from NICU/Peds to critical care ICU and medical-surgical floors—ensuring steady growth in your professional expertise.

You’ll collaborate within a department that values teamwork, learning from lead therapists and experienced clinicians with extensive tenure across both adult and pediatric specialties. The department leverages leading-edge technology, offering access to advanced equipment and EPIC EMR, contributing to your ability to build a diverse and marketable skillset. Schedule/Hours:

  • Night shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Rotating weekends (every other)
  • No on-call required
  • 75% of holidays scheduled within assignment
  • 6-week scheduling cycle

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of critical care experience in Respiratory Therapy
  • NC Respiratory Care license, RRT certification
  • BLS and ACLS (Adult); BLS, PALS, NRP (NICU/Peds)
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Familiarity with advanced respiratory equipment highly desirable
  • Open to first-time travelers with strong clinical backgrounds

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive respiratory therapy care across appropriate units (adult, pediatric, ICU, Med/Surg)
  • Implement, monitor, and adjust respiratory therapy treatment plans
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and lead therapists
  • Utilize advanced equipment (Servo U/Air, The Vest, Aerogen, etc.)
