Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- State licensure (or eligibility) as a Respiratory Therapist
- Experience in acute care, critical care, or related hospital settings preferred
- Proficiency with ventilator management, airway care, and respiratory treatments
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders
- Implement and monitor respiratory therapy plans per physician directives
- Operate ventilators and other respiratory equipment safely and efficiently
- Conduct diagnostic tests and provide patient education on respiratory care
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Accurately document treatments, patient responses, and progress
