Key Qualifications:

  • Current and valid license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Proven clinical experience in acute care or hospital settings preferred
  • Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy protocols, equipment, and best practices
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate therapeutic respiratory interventions
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (or ability to obtain prior to start)

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and monitor various respiratory care procedures, treatments, and medications as ordered
  • Evaluate respiratory status and develop patient-centered care plans
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain respiratory therapy equipment including ventilators, aerosol generators, and oxygen delivery devices
  • Monitor patient responses, document progress, and update interdisciplinary team as needed
  • Provide education to patients and families on respiratory health and equipment usage
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to all regulatory and safety standards
