Key Requirements:

  • Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
  • Current license to practice as an RRT
  • Proficiency in pediatric respiratory therapy, including medicated aerosol, airway clearance, and airway management
  • Ability to follow and implement advanced clinical practice guidelines
  • Experience with blood gas sampling, interpretation, and humidity therapy
  • Familiarity with high-risk delivery protocols (e.g., NRP, surfactant administration, intubation)
  • Previous travel or large hospital setting experience is a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe and effective therapies, including nebulizer treatments, MDI/DPI education, and airway clearance techniques
  • Manage airway interventions such as suctioning, tracheostomy care, manual ventilation, and ventilator checks
  • Provide care during high-acuity events, including neonatal rapid response and high-risk deliveries
  • Monitor patients using pulse oximetry, capnography, and advanced respiratory monitoring tools
  • Perform equipment cleaning, calibration, and troubleshooting for oxygen, specialized gases, and ventilatory devices
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient-centered care aligned with best-practice guidelines
