Qualifications/Experience:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Current RCP license
• Prior experience with pediatric patients preferred
• Proficiency in a wide array of respiratory therapies (see below)
• NRP certification or willingness to obtain

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver advanced respiratory therapy, including medicated aerosol, nebulizer treatments, and airway clearance techniques (such as PEP, oscillatory PEP, IPV)
• Manage airway interventions: suctioning, tracheostomy care, intubation assist, manual and assisted ventilation
• Oversee various ventilation modes (CPAP, BiPAP, NIMV, mechanical ventilation, NAVA initiation and management)
• Conduct and interpret blood gas sampling/analysis
• Administer specialty therapies (surfactant, nitric oxide, HFNC, Heliox, sub-ambient oxygen)
• Follow clinical guidelines for asthma, CF, RDS, BPD, acute chest syndrome, and more
• Utilize monitoring devices and perform spontaneous breathing trials
• Support internal and external patient transport, including rapid response and specialized respiratory protocols
• Maintain rigorous infection control and equipment maintenance practices
