Working in a nationally recognized medical facility with Level 1 Trauma designation, you’ll engage with a diverse patient population, including critical care, post-surgical, pulmonary, and pediatric cases. Exposure to multiple specialties and cutting-edge technologies provides a unique environment for learning new techniques, collaborating with experienced lead therapists, and strengthening your clinical expertise in high-acuity scenarios.
Schedule/Hours:
- Night shift: 18:30 – 07:00
- Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
- No on-call required
- Schedule set every 6 weeks
- Travelers expected to work 75% of holidays
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy critical care experience
- NC Respiratory Therapist license and RRT credential required
- BLS and ACLS required (for adult care)
- PALS and NRP required for NICU/Peds (preferred)
- Critical care and Level 1 trauma or high-acuity experience preferred
- CRT accepted, though RRT is preferred
- EPIC EMR experience and familiarity with therapy equipment such as Servo U, Aerogen, The Vest, and heated high flow (HFJV and HFOV a plus for pediatric assignment)
- Team-focused attitude with strong adaptability
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to adult, pediatric, or NICU patients per departmental needs
- Collaborate closely with lead therapists and interdisciplinary teams
- Utilize advanced therapeutic modalities and equipment
- Document clinical interventions accurately within EPIC
