Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - Loma, Colorado

Schedule/Hours:

• Travel assignment with potential for variable shifts, department needs may require floating, on-call assignments, or flexible scheduling.

Qualifications:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Active state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
• Proven experience in performing advanced-level respiratory care, including diagnostic testing, arterial blood gases, and equipment troubleshooting
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and patient families

Responsibilities:

• Perform, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic respiratory procedures according to protocol
• Obtain arterial blood gases and oversee equipment operation for optimal care
• Initiate respiratory protocols and interventions based on patient assessment
• Administer and evaluate medications per protocols, ensuring timely communication of changes
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care and wellness practices
• Complete accurate departmental documentation and monitor equipment and supply status
• Contribute to departmental productivity and efficiency, utilizing low-census time effectively
• Engage in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
• Mentor and consult with fellow staff members, supporting their ongoing development
• Float to other departments and provide support where needed, within competency
• Additional duties as assigned
