Schedule/Hours
- Night shift
- 6:30pm to 7:00am
Responsibilities
- Assess, evaluate, and implement respiratory therapies using advanced protocols in critical and emergency care areas
- Manage and optimize ventilator support—including weaning, wave form interpretation, and airway interventions
- Deliver and administer medication, bronchial hygiene, oxygen, and gas therapy, ensuring tailored care for complex patients
- Perform arterial blood gas sampling and analysis; assist in pulmonary diagnostics and cardiac service procedures
- Educate and mentor new employees, students, peers, and patient families, enhancing the standard of care
- Promote a safe, compliant, and quality-focused environment by adhering to policies, maintaining accurate documentation, and championing continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (Bachelor’s preferred)
- Active NBRC-RRT and RCP credentials
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (or ability to obtain NRP within 180 days)
- At least six months of recent critical care experience required
- Strong skills in assessment, communication, and collaboration; must be comfortable with health care technology and databases
