Qualifications:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist license (RRT) in good standing
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Previous acute, rehab, or critical care experience preferred
  • Proficient in ventilator management and invasive/non-invasive modalities
  • Familiarity with chest physiotherapy, suctioning, and emergency airway management

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver intensive respiratory care and patient transport as prescribed
  • Evaluate patients and implement treatment plans
  • Educate patients and families on therapies and home care at discharge
  • Operate a variety of ventilatory, oxygen, and nebulizer equipment
  • Perform procedures such as chest physiotherapy, suctioning, oximetry, capnography monitoring, and 12-lead EKG
  • Conduct pulmonary function studies, assist in advanced procedures—including bronchoscopies, trach care, and endotracheal intubations
  • Maintain accurate records, collaborate with the healthcare team, and communicate patient progress
  • Support lab testing protocols and ensure proper equipment maintenance
