Key Qualifications:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (per state requirements)
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Proven experience in acute or rehab care settings preferred
• Skill with invasive/non-invasive ventilatory equipment
• Ability to perform advanced airway management, chest physiotherapy, and diagnostic testing
• Competency in tracheostomy and endotracheal tube care

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver intensive respiratory therapy and patient transport as prescribed
• Educate patients on equipment, treatment procedures, and discharge plans
• Administer medications and therapies using oxygen, aerosol, and ventilatory devices
• Conduct chest physiotherapy, suctioning, and various monitoring (oximetry, capnography, EKG)
• Document all procedures, patient responses, and hand-offs according to facility protocols
• Collaborate actively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for optimized patient outcomes
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment and participate in lab testing practices
