Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Current state licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist
• Prior experience in a Level 4 NICU environment
• Demonstrated expertise in the care of cardiac transplant patients
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for multidisciplinary team collaboration

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients, including those post-cardiac transplant
• Manage ventilator settings and advanced respiratory support equipment in a Level 4 NICU
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and implement individualized respiratory care plans
• Provide rapid intervention in emergent situations, ensuring patient safety and high-quality outcomes
• Educate patients’ families on respiratory therapies and equipment as part of holistic care
• Accurately document assessments, treatments, and patient progress in compliance with hospital protocols
• Participate actively in team meetings and patient care coordination
