Step into a vital role delivering expert respiratory care within a dynamic hospital environment, specializing in the NICU and PICU. As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will be integral to a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity, tertiary facility recognized as a Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma center, Level 3 NICU, and Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center.
Schedule/Hours:
- Contract position with shift-based coverage
- Adaptability to float between respiratory NICU/PICU and adult respiratory therapy as needed
Key Qualifications:
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital experience in an RRT role
- Must hold valid BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications
- Demonstrated competence in high-acuity NICU/PICU settings
- Experience with Meditech documentation system (highly preferred)
- Familiarity with advanced respiratory equipment, including high flow devices, 3100A, Bunnell, Servos, continuous nebulizers, Nitric Oxide, and Heliox
- Strong collaborative skills, adaptability, critical thinking, and focus on exceptional patient care
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced respiratory care and interventions for neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations as assigned
- Operate and manage sophisticated respiratory technology for high-risk patients
- Accurately document all therapy and patient responses within Meditech
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, patient-centric environment
- Float as needed to adult respiratory units, delivering therapies including nebulizer treatments, BIPAP, and CPT
- Adhere to hospital dress code: light gray/silver uniform
