Take on a pivotal role caring for critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in a high-acuity, collaborative environment. This contract opportunity requires a proactive professional confident at delivering advanced respiratory therapies, all while embracing a strong team ethic in a renowned tertiary care and teaching facility—recognized as a Level 3 NICU, Level 1 trauma center, and Comprehensive Stroke Center.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with active credentials
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care hospital experience as an RRT
  • BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
  • Demonstrated expertise in NICU and/or PICU settings, with advanced skills in respiratory treatment for neonates and children
  • Familiarity and direct previous use of Meditech documentation system strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills: adaptable, collaborative, fast-paced, and committed to high-quality patient care
  • Ability to float to adult care units for procedures such as nebulizer therapy and BIPAP as needed

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and provide respiratory therapy using modern devices (High Flow, 3100A, Bunnell, Servos, continuous nebulizers, Nitric Oxide, Heliox)
  • Deliver exceptional patient care and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including department leadership
  • Adhere to best practices in respiratory medicine, including preparation and administration of medication, and participation in evidence-based care
  • Participate in a flexible float pool, supporting care throughout the respiratory and general adult units as required
  • Maintain accurate patient records using Meditech
