An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to join a specialized team in a leading tertiary care and teaching facility. This contract role centers on the NICU/PICU respiratory unit, providing advanced care for neonatal and pediatric patients. The facility is recognized as a Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma center, Level 3 NICU, and Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center—highlighting its commitment to clinical excellence and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract position (specific shift details provided during interview process)

Key Qualifications:

  • Current credentials in BLS, NRP, and PALS
  • Two or more years of recent experience in an acute care hospital setting as an RRT
  • Direct, hands-on experience in NICU/PICU environments
  • Proficiency with high flow devices, 3100A, Bunnell, Servos, continuous and regular nebulizers, Nitric Oxide, and Heliox
  • Previous use of the Meditech documentation system (strongly preferred)
  • Team-oriented, adaptable mindset with a focus on patient care and critical thinking

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Delivering specialized respiratory treatments and evaluations for patients with complex conditions
  • Utilizing advanced equipment and medication delivery techniques in high-acuity neonatal and pediatric cases
  • Collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other care providers in a dynamic, multidisciplinary setting
  • Providing coverage on adult floors for nebulizer therapy, BIPAP, CPT, and other respiratory care, as needed
  • Maintaining accurate, timely documentation using the Meditech system
  • Upholding high standards of professionalism and patient-focused care
