This travel assignment is ideal for a Registered Respiratory Therapist eager to advance their career by engaging with diverse workplace settings and collaborating with skilled medical professionals. Role Overview & Responsibilities:
- Deliver respiratory care for patients ranging from neonates to adults, following physician orders and established protocols.
- Assess, plan, and document patient care activities, ensuring high standards of safety and compliance.
- Operate ventilators, administer oxygen therapies, and perform diagnostic tests such as ABGs and pulmonary function testing.
- Provide patient and family education regarding respiratory illness, treatments, and equipment use.
- Maintain up-to-date patient records and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Contribute to emergency response situations, including code blue teams, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
- Current state license to practice as an RRT.
- BLS certification (additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS are highly desirable).
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work independently.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
