Position Highlights:

• Deliver advanced-level respiratory care tailored to each patient’s needs, focusing on diagnosis, treatment, and management of cardiopulmonary deficiencies
• Act as a knowledgeable resource to CRT staff and a mentor to peers within the department
• Perform and interpret diagnostic testing procedures, including arterial blood gases, and initiate interventions per protocol
• Administer respiratory medications safely and assess their effectiveness
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, patients, and families, making care recommendations and ensuring seamless care coordination
• Educate patients and families on disease management and self-care techniques
• Accurately document care provided and monitor the condition of equipment and supplies
• Collaborate in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives, always seeking opportunities for better patient outcomes
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute feedback and ideas to enhance respiratory care services
• May occasionally float to other departments or be placed on-call as needed

What We’re Looking For:

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials
• License to practice as required in Colorado (or eligibility for reciprocity)
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to mentor and educate others
