Qualifications:

  • Active credentials and valid license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Demonstrated experience in acute care, critical care, or general respiratory therapy settings
  • Strong knowledge of current respiratory techniques, equipment, and procedures
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for working with multidisciplinary teams and patients
  • BLS and ACLS certifications preferred
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced clinical situations and changing patient needs

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and administer respiratory care treatments and interventions to patients of varying ages
  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot complex respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen delivery systems
  • Conduct diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gases and pulmonary function testing
  • Educate patients and their families on respiratory care plans and home-care instructions
  • Document all aspects of patient care accurately and promptly in medical records
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure optimal patient care
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and code situations as needed
