Schedule/Hours:

  • Travel position with flexible scheduling

Desired Qualifications:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensure
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • Experience with ventilatory equipment (invasive and non-invasive)
  • Skills in chest physiotherapy, suctioning, oximetry, capnography, and EKG performance
  • Proficiency with pulmonary function testing and bronchoscopy assistance preferred
  • Competency in tracheostomy care and emergency airway management
  • Strong communication and patient education abilities

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver intensive respiratory care, including patient transport within and outside the facility
  • Develop and recommend tailored respiratory treatment plans
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and home care protocols
  • Conduct prescribed respiratory therapies, operate ventilatory and oxygen devices, and administer medications
  • Perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning techniques as needed
  • Monitor patients using oximetry, capnography, chest x-rays, and conduct 12-Lead EKGs
  • Assist with bronchoscopies, chest tube placements, and tracheostomy procedures
  • Manage documentation and communicate with interdisciplinary teams and physicians
  • Support quality laboratory processes and maintain equipment
  • Participate in code responses and respiratory emergency management
