Expand your professional experience by providing high-quality, intensive respiratory care and participating in patient transport. As part of this role, you’ll evaluate patients, recommend evidence-backed care plans, and educate both patients and their families about respiratory therapies and discharge instructions. The position offers exposure to advanced equipment, multidisciplinary collaboration, and hands-on involvement in patient care from admission through complex procedures to discharge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver routine and specialized physician-prescribed respiratory treatments, including mechanical ventilation and oxygen therapy
• Operate and maintain ventilatory, oxygen, and aerosol devices; administer prescribed medications and humidification treatments
• Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, oximetry, capnography, and pulmonary function testing
• Interpret chest x-rays and 12-Lead EKGs; recognize basic arrhythmias
• Assist with procedures such as bronchoscopy, chest tube placement, and tracheostomy care
• Perform arterial punctures, set up ventilatory equipment, and support preventative maintenance
• Maintain meticulous documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
• Ensure quality control and compliance with lab testing protocols

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT)
• Valid state respiratory license (OH)
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Previous acute care or rehab experience preferred
• Strong communication and clinical assessment skills
