Qualifications:
- Valid and current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Active Respiratory Care Practitioner license (or eligibility for licensure in Washington)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (CoARC-accredited program)
- BLS certification (required); ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications preferred
- Minimum one year of recent acute care experience as an RRT strongly preferred
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to patients across age groups, including ventilator management, oxygen therapy, airway clearance, and patient assessment
- Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to develop, implement, and evaluate personalized care plans
- Educate patients and families on respiratory therapy processes, equipment, and home care instructions
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with regulatory standards
- Ensure timely response to emergency respiratory situations
