Schedule/Hours:
- Full-time contract assignment
- Flexibility in scheduling may be required to meet patient and department needs
Qualifications:
- Current credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Valid and active state licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist
- Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Care Program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support – ACLS preferred)
- Demonstrated proficiency in respiratory therapy procedures, mechanical ventilation, airway management, and diagnostic testing
- Excellent communication, assessment, and patient education abilities
- Prior acute care or hospital experience is highly desirable
Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe and effective respiratory therapy interventions to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients under physician direction
- Monitor and evaluate patient responses, adjusting care plans as needed per established protocols
- Administer medications, manage ventilators, and perform airway clearance therapies
- Execute arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, interpreting results for care decisions
- Accurately document assessments and therapeutic procedures in electronic health records
- Collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals to ensure high quality patient care
- Adhere strictly to infection control, safety practices, and regulatory standards
