Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time contract assignment
  • Flexibility in scheduling may be required to meet patient and department needs

Qualifications:

  • Current credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Valid and active state licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist
  • Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Care Program
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support – ACLS preferred)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in respiratory therapy procedures, mechanical ventilation, airway management, and diagnostic testing
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and patient education abilities
  • Prior acute care or hospital experience is highly desirable

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe and effective respiratory therapy interventions to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients under physician direction
  • Monitor and evaluate patient responses, adjusting care plans as needed per established protocols
  • Administer medications, manage ventilators, and perform airway clearance therapies
  • Execute arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, interpreting results for care decisions
  • Accurately document assessments and therapeutic procedures in electronic health records
  • Collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals to ensure high quality patient care
  • Adhere strictly to infection control, safety practices, and regulatory standards
