This contract position offers an opportunity to work with advanced respiratory technologies in a supportive environment dedicated to neonatal respiratory care.

Location Overview
Situated in Brandon, FL, this facility has a 422-bed capacity and includes a 36-bed Level 3 NICU unit. The hospital is known for employing cutting-edge equipment including Drager VN500 ventilators, 3100A oscillators, Mallinckrodt Nitric Oxide, and Vapotherms, supporting a team of skilled respiratory therapists. Convenient parking is available with options dependent on shift times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage ventilators including conventional and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation
  • Attend to high-risk deliveries providing immediate respiratory support
  • Administer surfactant and nitric oxide treatments
  • Perform blood gas sampling and interpretation
  • Collaborate with NICU staff to maintain patient stability and optimize respiratory function

Desired Experience and Qualifications

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist credential required
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Level 2 NICU; Level 3 NICU experience strongly preferred
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
  • STABLE certification is a plus
  • Strong critical thinking skills, ability to work independently, and detail-oriented mindset

Schedule and Benefits
