Qualifications/Experience:

  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
  • Valid state respiratory care practitioner (RCP) license
  • Pediatric and neonatal experience highly valued
  • ACLS, BLS, NRP certifications preferred
  • Proficiency in delivering advanced respiratory therapies in acute care settings

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive respiratory therapies—medicated aerosol, airway clearance, high flow nasal cannula, CPAP/BiPAP/NIMV, and mechanical ventilation
  • Provide expert management of tracheostomy care, suctioning, and ventilator system checks
  • Collaborate in high-risk deliveries and emergency protocols (intubation assist, surfactant administration)
  • Perform blood gas sampling, analysis, and interpretation
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory device usage and treatment plans
  • Manage and monitor respiratory care for pediatric patients, including asthma, CF, and BPD care pathways
  • Participate in intra-hospital transport and assist with nitric oxide and specialty gas therapies
