Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Current respiratory care practitioner license
- Demonstrated proficiency in all respiratory care modalities, including assessments, treatments, and procedures
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications preferred
- Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Previous hospital or acute care experience is highly valued
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and deliver therapeutic interventions tailored to patient needs
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot mechanical ventilators and other respiratory equipment
- Administer prescribed respiratory treatments such as aerosol therapy, chest physiotherapy, oxygen therapy, and airway management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and adjust patient treatment plans
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and disease management
- Keep accurate records of procedures, patient progress, and outcomes in accordance with facility protocols
