As a Registered Respiratory Therapist in this specialized setting, you’ll work alongside dedicated care teams, expanding your clinical acumen, leadership skills, and adaptability by working with a diverse patient population and state-of-the-art technology. Schedule/Hours:

Qualifications:

  • Valid licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Proven clinical skills in acute and intensive respiratory care
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Experience with both invasive and non-invasive ventilator management
  • Strong communication and patient education abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, plan, and deliver intensive respiratory care and safe patient transport
  • Administer physician-prescribed treatments utilizing ventilatory and oxygen equipment
  • Educate patients and families on procedures, equipment, and home care
  • Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, oximetry, capnography, 12-Lead EKGs, and pulmonary function studies
  • Assist with bronchoscopies, tracheostomy procedures, and chest tube placements
  • Conduct arterial punctures and analyze results for effective ventilation monitoring
  • Complete accurate documentation and ensure seamless patient handoffs between shifts
  • Maintain and monitor respiratory equipment and coordinate preventative maintenance
