Key Qualifications:
- Current license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Previous experience in intensive or critical care respiratory therapy preferred
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Proficiency in cardiopulmonary procedures (including EKG, capnography, arterial puncture, and tracheostomy care)
- Strong communication and patient education skills
Schedule/Hours:
- Flexible travel assignment; specific shift details provided during interview
Responsibilities:
- Deliver intensive respiratory care and patient transport as medically prescribed
- Develop and recommend treatment plans based on patient evaluations
- Educate patients and families about respiratory therapies, equipment, and discharge instructions
- Administer prescribed medications, ventilation, and oxygenation therapies
- Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, routine oximetry/capnography, and EKG procedures
- Administer and monitor mechanical ventilation, support bronchoscopies, and perform pulmonary function studies
- Complete accurate treatment records, charge entries, and update patient charts
- Collaborate with physicians and maintain seamless communication during shift transitions
