Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive respiratory care in a critical illness and rehab environment, including intensive care and patient transport.
• Evaluate patients, develop and recommend treatment plans, and provide clear education regarding devices and procedures, including discharge instructions.
• Administer physician-prescribed treatments utilizing ventilators (invasive/non-invasive), oxygen/aerosol devices, and nebulizers.
• Perform chest physiotherapy, secretion clearance, oximetry, capnography, EKGs, pulmonary function studies, and basic arrhythmia recognition.
• Assist with technical procedures (bronchoscopy, chest tube, tracheostomy care), perform arterial punctures, and manage mechanical ventilation equipment.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient responses, maintain therapy records, and uphold precise charging and data entry.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, participating in shift handoffs and rounds.
• Maintain equipment, facilitate repairs, and adhere to laboratory policies when applicable.

Qualifications:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT) with valid state licensure.
• Experience in critical or acute care settings is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ventilatory support, chest physiotherapy techniques, and respiratory monitoring technologies.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
