Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) | Tampa, Florida

The hospital is situated in Brandon, FL, providing easy access to Tampa and surrounding communities. The hospital campus includes convenient parking options—with garage parking available for day shifts and medical plaza parking for night shifts. The unit is housed in the main hospital building, fully equipped with advanced Respiratory Therapy technology including Drager VN500 ventilators, 3100A Oscillators, Mallinckrodt Nitric Oxide, and Vapotherms. Electronic Medical Records systems include Meditech and NeoNotes for streamlined documentation and coordination.

Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory care and ventilator management including conventional and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation in a 36-bed Level 3 NICU
• Participate in high-risk deliveries and perform surfactant administration
• Acquire and interpret blood gases and administer nitric oxide as appropriate
• Collaborate closely with the clinical team to deliver patient-centered care
• Maintain compliance with unit policies and safety protocols

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist license required
• Minimum 3-5 years Level 2 NICU experience; Level 3 NICU experience highly preferred
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• STABLE certification is a strong plus
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work independently
• Positive, detail-oriented approach to patient care
