Step into a vital role supporting patients in a long-term acute care environment as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. This 13-week contract opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about delivering exemplary respiratory care during challenging night shifts.

Schedule:

  • 12-hour night shifts
  • 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
  • No on-call required

Qualifications:

  • Active Florida Respiratory Therapist license in hand (RT-FLOR)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in long-term acute care or critical care settings
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) also considered
  • Expertise in both critical and long-term patient care modalities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and attention to detail

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and implement respiratory therapy protocols for acute and chronically ill patients
  • Monitor ventilatory support systems and adjust per physician orders and patient needs
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions including oxygen therapy, nebulization, airway management, and mechanical ventilation
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and strategies for recovery
  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
  • Accurately document all aspects of respiratory care in patient records
