Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Valid professional license to practice in Ohio
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience delivering intensive respiratory care and patient transport
• Strong ability to work both independently and within interdisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend tailored respiratory treatment plans
• Administer prescribed treatments using ventilators, oxygen/aerosol devices, and nebulizers (invasive & non-invasive)
• Educate patients and families about procedure, equipment, and discharge care
• Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, and various respiratory monitoring tasks
• Conduct pulmonary function studies, 12-Lead EKGs, and basic arrhythmia recognition
• Provide care for tracheostomies, chest drainage, and participate in emergency procedures
• Maintain accurate patient charts and carry out comprehensive shift-to-shift handoffs
• Assist in equipment maintenance and ventilatory setup/testing as required
• Strict adherence to all safety, lab, and facility protocols
