Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Active and unencumbered Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Current state licensure to practice as an RRT or eligibility to obtain prior to assignment start
- Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred
- Previous experience in acute care or hospital settings highly desirable
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced clinical environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory care for patients with various acute and chronic conditions
- Perform diagnostic testing and therapeutic procedures such as ventilator management, oxygen therapy, airway management, and pulmonary function tests
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care
- Document therapeutic interventions and patient responses in accordance with facility standards
- Educate patients and families about disease management, equipment usage, and home care
