Embark on a rewarding assignment as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with a focus on neonatal care in a dynamic, specialized environment. This contract role offers the opportunity to deliver vital respiratory support in a Level 2 Special Care Nursery, working alongside a multidisciplinary team dedicated to the highest standards of neonatal and maternal healthcare.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current credentialing as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • Demonstrated neonatal respiratory care experience, ideally in a Level 2 Special Care Nursery or comparable unit
  • Proficiency in Medicated Aerosol Therapy, including use of small volume nebulizers, MDIs, DPIs, and holding chambers
  • Experience with medication carts and barcoding medication administration systems (e.g., Omnicell)
  • Competence performing suctioning, manual ventilation, and assisting with intubation and assisted ventilation
  • Familiarity with NRP protocols, high-risk delivery support, T-piece ventilation, and surfactant administration
  • Skilled in obtaining and interpreting blood gases, including sampling, analysis, and reporting
  • Expertise with humidified therapy, heated humidity, aerosol masks, nasal cannula, and oxygen masks
  • Commitment to patient education and clinical documentation standards

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract position; specific hours to be discussed during the interview process

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive neonatal respiratory support, following established protocols and collaborating with physicians and nurses
  • Provide patient and family education on respiratory therapies and equipment
  • Safely and accurately administer medications and respiratory treatments using advanced modalities and monitoring equipment
  • Assist in high-risk deliveries and support neonatal resuscitation as needed
