Key Qualifications:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) & Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) credentials
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (required or obtainable within 180 days)
- 6 months of critical care experience, with 0–2 years clinical experience minimum
- Critical Care, Emergency Department, and Pediatric experience essential
- Effective communicator with strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Proficient in electronic documentation and team-based patient care
Core Responsibilities:
- Administer respiratory medications and therapies, including ventilator management and airway interventions
- Practice independent, evidence-based decision-making in complex patient care situations
- Educate patients, families, and staff; mentor new hires and students
- Perform and analyze arterial blood gases and support invasive/non-invasive procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to plan and deliver optimal care
- Ensure accurate documentation and uphold safety standards
