This position places you in complex, high-acuity settings, expanding your knowledge through hands-on involvement in critical care areas. Schedule:

  • Night Shifts: 6:30pm–7:00am

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT), RCP license required
  • Current BLS certification (ARC or AHA)
  • ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications preferred (must obtain NRP within 180 days)
  • At least 6 months’ critical care experience required; 0–2 years total clinical experience welcomed
  • Background in Emergency Department, Critical Care, and Pediatric respiratory therapy highly desired
  • Well-developed communication and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to form collaborative relationships across healthcare disciplines
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with healthcare databases

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe, high-quality respiratory care to patients, including those with complex or multiple health concerns
  • Independently manage protocolized ventilator support, waveform interpretation, and airway management (intubations, extubations, trach care)
  • Conduct patient assessments, administer therapies, and perform diagnostic testing (e.g., arterial blood gases)
  • Mentor, educate, and support new staff, students, and patients’ families
  • Foster teamwork and a positive clinical environment
  • Ensure precise documentation and champion patient safety initiatives
