Key Qualifications:

  • Valid and current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
  • Active professional license as required by state regulations
  • BLS certification (other relevant certifications such as ACLS or PALS are a plus)
  • Previous experience in acute care respiratory therapy settings strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and critical-thinking abilities
  • Commitment to adhering to ethical standards and maintaining patient confidentiality

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract position; specific shift details to be provided during the interview process

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care to patients as ordered by medical staff
  • Operate and manage ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, and other respiratory equipment
  • Assess patients’ respiratory status, adjust treatments as needed, and document progress accurately
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams to support the best patient outcomes
  • Provide education to patients and families on respiratory conditions and self-care techniques
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date patient records and participate in care planning meetings
