Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Active Respiratory Therapy license
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Experience working in acute care or hospital settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of respiratory care equipment and best practices
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and provide respiratory care treatment and life support to patients
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function testing
- Administer oxygen, aerosolized medications, and chest physiotherapy as ordered
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Monitor and adjust ventilatory support equipment to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient therapies, progress, and response to interventions
- Provide education to patients and families regarding respiratory care techniques
