An excellent contract opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist ready to make a meaningful impact in adult acute care settings. This position focuses on respiratory therapy services across intensive care, progressive care, emergency, and general floor units.

Schedule:

  • Night shifts: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
  • 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holidays as needed
  • No block scheduling

Qualifications:

  • Active NBRC credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Valid New York state license
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Minimum of 2 years’ acute care experience
  • Willingness to work with adult patients in ICU, PCU, ED, and general care environments
  • For candidates educated outside the U.S., 2 years of U.S. work experience is required
  • Must live more than 50 miles from the facility

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional respiratory care to patients in high-acuity units, including assessment, diagnostics, and therapies
  • Support critical patient needs within the ICU and ED, responding promptly to emergencies and rapid changes in condition
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and allied health professionals to develop and execute safe and effective care plans
  • Ensure accuracy in documentation and compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards
  • Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment to guarantee operational reliability during patient care

$1,800 - $1,958/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
