Registered Respiratory Therapist - Goose Creek, South Carolina

Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Current licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Respiratory Therapist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Previous experience in an acute care or hospital setting is highly valued
• Proficiency in patient assessment, ventilator management, and airway care
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients with respiratory disorders
• Administer prescribed respiratory therapy treatments and diagnostic procedures
• Operate, maintain, and monitor mechanical ventilators and specialized respiratory equipment
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provide airway management, including oxygen therapy, suctioning, and emergency interventions
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory disease management and equipment use
• Accurately document all treatments, assessments, and patient responses
