Qualifications:

• Active credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Valid certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Current state licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist
• Previous experience providing patient respiratory care in a clinical or hospital environment preferred
• Strong knowledge of respiratory equipment, therapies, and emergency procedures
• Excellent communication and patient assessment skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer various respiratory therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians, including aerosol treatments, oxygen therapy, and mechanical ventilation
• Evaluate and monitor patients’ respiratory status, adjusting care as needed based on assessment and physician collaboration
• Conduct diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function tests
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in accordance with facility protocols
• Educate patients and families about respiratory health, equipment, and treatments
• Participate in emergency response situations, including code blues and rapid assessments
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
