Registered Respiratory Therapist - Miami, Florida

An opportunity is available for a passionate and skilled respiratory care professional to serve patients in a hospital setting, providing direct care on a contract basis. This role offers a chance to collaborate with dedicated healthcare teams and make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.

Schedule:

• 3x12 hour night shifts per week
• Specific nights will be determined during the interview process

Qualifications:

• Active State of Florida Respiratory Care license required
• Either CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) or RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) will be accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory
• Possess a college diploma or provide official transcripts
• Candidates must reside outside of Broward, Dade, and Palm Beach counties
• Previous experience in an acute care or hospital environment strongly preferred
• Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality respiratory therapy treatments and interventions for patients of varying acuity
• Assess, plan, and implement patient care under the supervision of medical staff
• Administer and monitor mechanical ventilation, aerosolized medications, and oxygen therapy
• Perform diagnostic testing, such as arterial blood gas analysis, to evaluate patient respiratory status
• Accurately document all therapeutic procedures and patient responses in electronic medical records
• Participate actively in multidisciplinary care team discussions to ensure comprehensive patient care
