Multiple 12-hour day shifts (three per week) provide the flexibility to balance your professional responsibilities with personal exploration. The facility is a large, modern hospital with specialized units, including a Level II Trauma Center and Level III NICU, offering exposure to advanced care for diverse patient populations. You’ll collaborate alongside experienced clinical teams that embrace a variety of workplace practices and leadership styles, broadening your clinical perspective and developing versatile skills.
Key Qualifications:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required; will consider Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with a minimum of 2 years’ experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ respiratory therapy experience (no first-year therapists); open to first-time travelers with recent Cerner or EPIC EMR experience
- Valid BLS certification; NRP required for NICU role; ACLS/APLS preferred
- Recent (past 12 months) Level III NICU experience required for NICU assignment
- Strong skills in both general and critical care for adult populations; NICU candidates should have ground transport and nitric oxide administration skills preferred
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality respiratory assessment, intervention, and evaluation to adult and neonatal populations
- Float between adult and NICU settings based on staffing needs
- Operate advanced equipment: Cerner EMR, Omnicell dispensing, Spacelabs monitors, PB840/PB980/Drager ventilators
- Weekend and holiday rotations as required; voluntary on-call opportunity
- Maintain documentation and safety standards in accordance with policy
