Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) | Mount Washington, Kentucky

Step into a vital clinical role as a Respiratory Therapist, providing expert care across all hospital units and supporting patients with a variety of critical respiratory conditions. This contract opportunity calls for an experienced professional ready to handle adult critical care, float throughout the facility, and make a positive impact in high-acuity environments.

Schedule:

• Shift times: 0630-1900 or 1830-0700
• 6-week schedule, posted 4 weeks in advance
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• Must be willing to work some holidays

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
• Previous experience in adult critical care required
• Willing to consider first-time travelers with relevant background
• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Active state licensure required
• RRT credential preferred; CRTs considered with manager approval
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NRP preferred
• Proficiency in adult critical care techniques, including inhaled epoprostenol, intubation assistance, ventilator management, bedside bronchoscopy/tracheostomy assist, oxygen therapy modalities, and ABG interpretation
• Prior experience with Level I Trauma preferred

Responsibilities:

• Deliver care to patients with diagnoses including COPD, asthma, respiratory failure, burns, strokes, and traumas
• Float and respond as needed throughout all hospital units (excluding NICU/ER for travelers)
• Collaborate with an experienced support team including the RT manager, supervisors, and Respiratory Care Coordinator
• Use advanced equipment such as Cerner EMR, Omnicell, and various ventilator technologies

$1,575 - $1,714/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
